华为EC1261 3G上网卡与VMWare Workstation 7有兼容性问题。在XP系统上表现为卡的驱动无法完全安装，电信拨号软件找不到卡。

解决方法为：先卸载VMWare Workstation 7，再插入3G上网卡安装驱动。

Recently, I got a Huawei EC1261 USB 3G EVDO dongle for mobile internet surfing. The driver failed to install due to conflict with VMWare Workstation 7. My laptop OS is Windows XP Professional SP3, it said that Windows 7 with VMWare Workstation 7 also has similar problem to install the dongle driver.

The solution is simply uninstall VMWare Workstation 7 first, then install EC1261 driver.
